Default Cager Finally Got Me

Well yesterday was a bad day. Left turner got me 3 blocks from my house. I picked up bike from shop after new tires and dynotune. Heading home, cager bangs a left into his driveway right in front of me. Think I had about 15 feet to react. Grabbed the brakes and waited for death. Hit the bed of this jerks pickup truck, flew over the bed and landed in the road on the other side of the truck. Miraculously I was still alive. Didnt even get knocked out. Hospital trip, lots of x-rays and NO broken bones. How the hell did I pull this one off? Cant move left arm and right leg. I think I blew ligaments in right knee to match the left knee from an encounter years back. Bike front end destroyed, not sure of frame damage yet. Hopefully it's totaled and I can start over. New riding season, new idiots! Be careful out there and watch out for these A**holes. What do you think the driver said when he came over to me? I DIDNT SEE YOU! I had 3 lights running up front at the time. This guy was too busy eating his McDonalds to watch the damn road....so I had to pay for it!

BOTZ - Whose sitting on the damn couch for afew days !

Botz, glad to hear your alright!

1. If your bike is totaled make sure you get market value/ replacement value not bluebook value.

2. While your waiting to either have your bike replaced/ repaired you have the right to a rental

3.Also if your bike is totaled you have first rights to buy-back {parts bike}.

4. Hope he chokes on his burger and fries!

Get yourself healthy, Botz! Just glad to hear it wasn't worse for you. While you're semi-immobile start going through AIM and the bike catalogs and putting the new ride together in your head.

Sorry about you misfortune, the excuse I didn't see you A 600 # bike and a 200# man. This jack a** wouldn't see a child or fat chick unless it bouncing off the hood. Get back on your feet kick him in the nads and say you didn't see him standing there see if the logic shakes his brains cells

Been down about 9 times total, front-ends, tanks, carbs, bars, etc... Luckily I never got more than bumps and bruises, good luck bubba, maybe I see ya if you still get out this way...

Hey Botz
Be careful man. I did the involentary summersault two seasons ago. I thought I was lucky too. No broken bones. Two days later I couldn't stand up. Muscle and tendon damage are a different kind of pain. Look after the body, then make sure you get a kick ass ride outa that burger lovin blind man.

Botz, Take your time and get checked AGAIN by a Doc a few days from now. Had the same thing happen to me when I was cruising the town on my 03 Sporty with my wife. Guy was drunk and pulled straight out in front of us. Never stopped or looked. I made a great airbag for her but I have never been so bruised in my life. At least she didn't get hurt Thank God. Nothing broken but the "boys down stairs" took a beating from the tank and when I went back for a re-check I had blood in my urine which meant internal damage. Make them check EVERYTHING on you. Take care of yourself and don't rush recovering. In a couple weeks you'll hopefully feel good enough to take a short ride. Just take your time, take care and heal. Good luck and get yourself healed up. Clif
