Default FLHX Stereo

What kind of cord do I need to plug helmet speakers into the stereo? is there a jack in the rear of the stereo?

blackhog,
I own a 2007 FLHX and I'm not sure you can accomplish what you mention here. There is a jack on the front of the unit that will accept a plug-in from something like an iPod, etc., to feed IN to the stereo, but as yet I've not found a way to plug in to have the sound come back into a set of headphones. Hopefully someone who is more enlightened will correct me here....

You'll need a cord about two and a half feet long. I'm sorry, that was too easy

What you would have to do, is add the "Communication Switch Kit", like what is on the Electra Glide Ultra Classic. This allows you to plug in your helmet headset, hear music, and use the microphone for intercom or CB (both add-ons). It replaces the tank-dash piece between the seat & the fuel door.

HD Part No 77173-08 or -07.

Or you could try the down-and-dirty way; I don't have the service manual in front of me, but it may show the wiring coming out of the radio, and you might be able to make your own headset connector and mount it on the fairing.
