Default Harley Floorboard Oil Cooler

D&M Custom Cycles is unveiling this neat new design that builds the oil cooler into the Harley floorboards at the V-Twin Expo this weekend. Here is a quick sneek peak from the night before the show opened.

Good one Unc,, or a drop..

That's the first thing I thought of too..
The bottom of my floorboards are all chewed up from deep corners and scraping..

Plus,, a few inches off the pavement is usually much hotter than only a few inches higher.. Dumb I think..

Gotta concur with Frisco and Unc, it definetly looks like a show stopper to me not to mention the road conditions around here. One scrape and you are down till you get it plugged, unless you carry one along. The CONs far out weigh the PROs in my opinion. There's not enough room to list the cons on this site.

First thing that crossed my mind was being covered in oil if the bike goes down. I didnt even think of the sweaty feet. Not a good idea IMHO.

I'm with the rest of you guys--- this doesn't look like a real good idea to me. The only benefit would be in cold-weather riding, but only if the rider never scrapes the footboards. That don't happen with me......

Good idea that is not practical......didn't give it much "real world" testing I think..

I just had a great idea for an oil cooler.I'm gonna line my saddlebags with foil, drill & tap the bottoms of the bags for oil line fittings & run hoses connecting the two bags & the oil pump! I oughta be able to get 4 or 5 gallons per side, just think how much extra cooling that will give me!!!Not to mention that if one of my buds runs low on oil while we're out for a ride I can just pop the top & hand him a dixie cup.Who wants to send me money for the first production kit?
