Default Fairing Part

Washed the new bike today. Found this on the floor afterward. I did have a rattle in the front fairing. Rode today and no rattle. Wondering if this is part of the fairing or maybe fell from inside fairing. ANyone recognize this?

Picture is useless sorry. Will have to redo.

Actually it looks like the tab that plugs into a square hole that has broken off....... but does the fairing have that type of attachment??
not to be funny, but my 78 ford truck headlight bezel has the exact same looking part that broke off. the tab snaped in the bottom and a screw held in the top... so maybe the fairing has a couple tabs and then the screws to complete the attachment??. Just a thought, Good Luck

I fergit what bike ya got.... my 06 ultra dont have that type of attachement, at least the parts I have worked on so far.

Did you get the service manual? Maybe you could identify it in the section dealing with the fairing. Just a thought

DO you have clip on faring bags? Looks to possibly be the attachment clip from the multi pouch faring bags.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the input. I have the manual. Gotta thumb through it. When I have time gonna open up the fairing and look around. I got a feeling its a piece of an ice scraper that my wife broke about two weeks ago and when all the snow melted it resurfaced. Thanks again. Botz

Hey Hammerhead,

Sure go and rub it in. Lemme guess 75 and sunny? Here its a balmy 45 and overcast. Better than snow though. You havent completed the riding experience til you ride home in the snow. Hey EVOKENEVO.......well put! Been out to Barbarosa at all? Should be out that way again this summer. Take care. Botz

Ok, I apologize for the ice scraper comment Of course I hope the mystery part is no problem for you and the new ride. FYI, it was actually 81 degrees yesterday afternoon, just in time for Daytona. Any progress with "Builder Bob'"?

Thanks for asking about Bob. Hes not really making any progress. Hes in a childlike state most of the time. No interest in his tools and/or his bike. Sad to see. A buddy just flew down Yesterday to visit him. Will have a better idea when he gets home. BOtz
