Default Klock Werk's Shield Reviews?

I purchased an 09 Street Glide last fall. I love the bike but do more touring than city driving and the short windshield resulted in a lot of wind noise and turbulence in the saddle. This winter I had the dealership put a 6 inch Klock Werk's windshield on my ride. I am 6 feet 1 inches tall. I am wondering how others who have switched to this windshield like the change. Hopefully here in Wisconsin I will be able to ride in the next few weeks. Thanks for your input.

I am 6 feet tall and put a Klock shield on my Ultra and like it a lot. I can sit up straight and get a bit of wind or bend down just a little and am out of the air blast.

Buzz,

Thank you for the reply. I was not expecting the Editor of AIM to reply and I am honored you did so. I recall reading of your experience with the Klock shield in AIM. I am 45 years old and owning a Harley is a life long dream I have finally fulfilled. Your magazine has been very helpful in expanding my knowledge of motorcycles and cycling in general. I enjoy reading ech new issue. Keep up the great work.

Hey Hogie, I'm also interested in that particular window so it would be good to hear your review, when you get a chance.

Tommyglide,

Will do. I stopped at the dealership today and ran into a guy who has one and he spoke highly of the shield. I will keep you posted on this site.

Tex,

Glad to hear the shield is working for you. I am taking the glide out of storage this friday and look forward to seeing how the flare works.

I've had a Klockwerks Recurve on my Streetglide since April '08. I'm 5'11" and find that I too can hide from the wind, so to speak, and it also sends bugs over the top better than the stock piece. My biggest issue is it's cost. Bang for buck ratio ($160) is way down as compared to something like elephant ears ($30, and they block MUCH more wind). It looks good but I haven't come away with a feeling that I got a lot for my money. Would I spend the money again? Probably not now that there are others for so much less.

Texan, where did you find that Clearview? I'd like to see what it looks like.
