Unhappy Advanced Audio HD/Harmon Kardon

just wondering...has anybody else been experiencing extremely low volume when running MP3's through auxillary input? I have tried using the the MP3gain software to boost the MP# quality somewhat but the signal in still lacks volume on playback. Otherwise the CD/Radio sounds great. Have also used the latest flash from harley to no avail. (maybe the MP3/aux is just crap)

Unhappy Re: Advanced Audio HD/Harmon Kardon

Yes, all the other features on the radio work fine but the aux input is low. I need to have the volume at 1/2 or more to hear the same volume as the FM or CD's at 1/4. Also the MP3 sound quality is unbearable yet sounds perfect through a mini MP3 player or home system.

there is an issue with the speed of the recorded MP3 on the Harmon system.... I will have to look back to see if I can find out what speed they need to be recorded - the player is rather picky........

Red face Re: Advanced Audio HD/Harmon Kardon

thanks Texan, that would be really helpful. I'll stand-by for anything you find. (i would hate to have to go the route of an aftermarket head unit)

I can't find that post but if I remember correctly it has to be recorded at the higher speed for the harmon to properly read it....I couldn't find the post using the search function this forum.... but 126 seems to be stuck in there somewhere....sorry I couldn't be more help. I have no problem running my Ipod through the system however.
