Default Flare Windshield

Has anybody used the Klockwerx flared winshield? Preferably somebody that has used it on a road glide? It seems they only come in a 10", is this windshield better than the factory 16" shield?

Thought there was another thread on this but I couldn't find it, so here's my opinion. I bought the Klockwerks sheild for my FLHT. Tried it once and wasn't crazy about it and took it off. Yesterday, I thought I'd try it again. In the morning with fairly calm winds it was fine. In the afternoon, the winds picked up to about 15-20 mph and it was pretty much useless. I checked the Klockwerks site and they're now offering a 10.5" shield that I think would be better. But I'm thinking I might try one from Cee Baileys ceebaileys.com
On mine they offer sizes from 9" to 15" and they're a lot cheaper.

I bought the Klock Works for my FLHX and it just wasn't tall enough and caused a lot of turbulence shaking my half helmet alot unless I was doing over 100MPH. I had a fabricator copy it an inch taller which helped, but it really needed to be another inch or two taller. I tried the new Windvest windshields at the Laughlin River Run and was very impressed and purchased one. This is much more comfortable touring and I can still see over the top easily.

Try these people Clearview shields
Clearview Shields - for the best ride you'll ever see

I needed a taller windshield for winter riding, I bought a replacement glass for my Dyna a couple years ago. Excellent people to deal with, the link will bring you to the Roadglide page.

I bought a Klock Werks 6.5 in windshield for my 09 Ultra with Sidecar; like not having a windshield. Sent it back for a 10.5 in and that is fine but no better then the stock windshield. Between flared windshields; I had cut off 1 inch from the top of the stock windshield and could see better and it worked fine. My ride is for sale and whoever buys it will get both and all the other crap I've bought including the 7 yr warranty on the bike. Any takers; 700 miles; changed my mind.

I just installed the 12" flair on my 05 FLTRI. Took a short (150mi) trip and am dissapointed with the wind and wind noise. I'm 5'10" and have the stock seat, the wind hit me right at eye level and the wind noise was loud enough so that the radio was up to the loudest setting (I also have J&M aftermarket speakers). So its back with the stock windshield. I have heard that the Clearview windshield does not have these problems. Anybody know anything about the Clearview?

When I bought my Klock the 6.5" was all they had, otherwise I would have tried the taller one.
