Default Harman Kardon stereo upgrades

So I went to the dealer today to see how much it would be to put satellite radio in my 09 Road Glide. I expected to find out that I had to change the whole deck. It turns out that they have to reprogram it, or "flash" it. Also they have to install the satellite antennae. That requires 1 hour of labour. This comes out to $825 canadian to do this. $825 to download software and install an antennae!?! I'm thinking of buying just a mobile satellite radio and sticking it to the inside of the windshield. Anyone have any advice on aftermarket systems and mounts; or know of a cheaper way to fix my existing radio? Thanks in advance. $825 you gotta be #&*@ing me!

I think someones pulling your leg,you have to purchase the XM module that sits on top of the deck & the wiring kit.The last time I installed one the module was 500 bucks plus the wiring kit.The stereo does have to be mated to the module,so that was probably what the "reflash" was.You could purchase a kit & install it on your bike but it won't be integrated into your radio display like the H-D set up will.Hope this clears things up.

Hey roadglide, do you use this product with the XM attachment? This was the route I was considering. I believe that this is actually what the Harley Roadtech is. Or who makes it rather.
