Default Tire Question

Have a 2003 FLHT and I want to put on wire wheels with some gangsta white walls. I've read I can purchase an adapter and put a 140mm tire on the back. Anyone know the 411 on this setup?

I guess my question is, has anyone tried this "spacer" with the larger tire?

Thanks. Now my next question. On the Dunlop website they show two tire sizes. One for my year (MT90B16) and the bigger tire (MU85B16) for the 04-08 years. Is this a 150mm? They don't provide mm sizes. The spacer vendor says it will clear a 142mm. This is making my brain hurt......

I've been shopping the net for a new rear tire. On the Dunlop site, the only difference I see between the MT90 and the MU85 in the 402 series is the
higher weight rating of the MU85. Other dimentions are within fractions of an inch. Made my head hurt too!

The MT is a 130/90/16,the MU is a 140/85/16. Just so you know, you can run a Metzeler 140 WWW with no modifications, but you do have to check the clearance between the tire & the rubber flap on your debris deflector.
