Floorboard extensions? Anyone have them? - Harley Forum

I am interested in these floorboard extensions and wanted to see if anyone else here has them. They are here. Floorboard Extensions for Harley Davidson Floorboards, HarleyGoodies Footboard Extenders, Harley Parts sold from Southern Ca Will my boards be more likely to scrape? Will they make me more comfortable? Let me know. Thanks. I'm new to this forum by the way. How do these compare to the Kuryakyn extended brackets?

This is a personal decision because what's comfortable for Bill might not be comfy for Joe..

I clicked on the link but don't know which extentions you're looking at so, I 'll just say this..........

The farther out the boards sit the sooner they will drag..

The farther out--- the fewer tight spots you can get into or thru and more important,,,, out of..

I make my own extentions to sit close, Up and Back so they don't drag as easily and my feet are more under me for comfort..

Frisco, I am looking at the extensions that move the boards out to the side. You're reasoning is sound, however I am not too concerned about scraping as I don't scrape now. It seems as if I am not as aggressive as some riders. All I am wanting to know is if these will increase my comfort enough to justify the price which is quite reasonable. Any one else with experience with these?

I mounted* hiway pegs on my crash bar just forward of the floorboard and up. Heel on the fb, the rest on the peg, no scraping and very comfortable, for me.
I know that's not what you asked but that's how I solved it.

Been lurking for a while here. I have the extensions on my fatboy. They are great. Inexpensive and they make my ride extremely comfortable. I can't believe I went without these for so long. I spoke with Tom, the owner and designer of this product prior to purchase and he is very easy to get a hold of and quite knowledgeable as he is an engineer by trade. He also told me I could send them back if I was unhappy in any way. He'd even pay the shipping. That blew my mind. Needless to say I will never send these back.

Hey, I have them on my SG and they are real easy to put on and do push your feet out a little and away from the pipes and cam cover. I also put on a guard from Rock Hard Boot GuardT and this is one great piece of functional chrome. I had a tendency to rub my pipes with my boot. This has stopped and now just plain looks great. The guard works best with the extensions to give a really functional and sweet looking piece.
