Default Security pager.

Need some info here. Done some reading but can't quite make sense of it all.

The Glide (2002) has the basic factory alarm system on it. No siren.
I want to add on the pager but I'm not sure whether I have to add more modules to the basic system or can I just get the pager and dial it in.
I don't like sirens, they do nothing but irritate neighbors.
Pager is stealthy...not that I look forward to being woken up at 3am ..
Anyone out there know anything about this stuff??

Thanx

Peter,

I had a pager on my 05 RK for the same reasons you mentioned. Personally I thought the thing was crap. Half the time it wouldnt go off and it always seemed to need batteries. Dont know if improvements were made but mine was crap. Even when the unit said you were within range it wouldnt go off. It had mind of its own. Of course the dealers had no clue either and gave me a replacement pager which did the same thing. Just sayin. Botz

Thanks guys
Doesn't sound like it's very reliable, mainly wanted it for underground parking...

Save your money. Most fm transmitters of this type will only cover a half mile in an open field under best conditions. a good sound locking system is worth more security.

Yea got one on mine, never use it, went off whenever we were in a fast food place.
I think the microwave set if off.
Bought it on ebay cheap, it was from a closed store, worth it for the horn that came with it, but not much else.
The new ones might be better.

I got coverage every which way from Sunday. I can only hope the day doesn't come when I have to use it...
Maybe a visit to the Spy Store?
