Default suspension road king

Just Purchased my 3rd harley. I bought a new 2010 road king classic. It is by far the hardest riding bike I have ever ridden. After 1 and a half hours in the saddle I can no longer walk and my right hand went numb. Anyone out there with similiar problems? Thanks.

my 09 FLHR is more or less the same bike, I put heritage bars on and everything else is stock. 8000 miles in 7 months later and I could not be happier. have you checked the pressure in your air shocks?

Well, honestly, the hand numbness is carpal tunnel syndrome. I have it and the grips made it better but I still have to just deal with it occasionally. Surgery is an option.

1.5 hours straight seat time and I couldn't walk either.....of course, I'm just old....

Of all the replys. Yes I am getting older. NO, I do not have carpal tunnel. Yes, I have made all the mods. What I'm getting at is: Does Harley make a motorcycle that does not require modifications to make it rideable in the Softail or Touring class? If so which one is it? Or, should I try another brand? I have been riding for over 50 years. Maybe that is the problem.
Thanks

Don't know if you saw this but will point it out since you did not mention it.

Every manufacturer tries for the one size fits all design. HD's no exception.
Unfortunately, tweeking is required by most of us that throw a leg over these things.

Ok, what is it that's hard about the ride of your RK? Is the front end hard? Choppy? Same thing with the back end, choppy? Hard? Your hands don't like the angle of the grips? Are you leaning too far forward? Too far back?
Knees aren't bending the right way? Is vibration messing with your serenity on the road?

Get specific, and you'll see a bunch of answers coming back.
We're all here to help and learn from each other

air has been adjusted. seat modified. grips replaced. Rear suspension is very, very firm. Handlebars adjusted. Back supported. Knees properly placed. Bike suspension is just not right on the rear end. Shop disagrees.
