Default fxsts 2002 front brake

might not have a broken leg if the brake worked better. Anyone out there got tips for changing / modifying the front brake on this model for more stopping power. Maybe 4 caliper or other bolt on fix?

Springers are not well known for their stopping power with that weinie front brake set up. For sure a better caliper/rotor setup would work to slow you down quicker - but I am thinking you might "over brake" the front with the Springer, I could see it diving. Anyone have a burly front brake setup on a Springer? If so - how does it work?

I have an 05 Springer FXSTSI. I hated that little front brake as well. I had a few to many close calls so I upgraded mine. I went with a Hawg Halters 4 pistion caliper. I stayed with the stock rotor though. I am very pleased with the new caliper. The bike stops soo much better now. You can over brake the front suspesion with this but hey i would rather do that, than not be able to stop. I couldnt be happier now. However i would also step up to a braided line as well though. That way you get the best possible performance.
