I got the pads changed with no problems. It was a lot easier than some vehicles I have done in the past. The only thing I didn't notice until later was that I pushed some excess fluid back into the master cylinder when I pushed the pistons back in to have enough room to receive the newer thicker brake pads. When I tightened the cap back on the master cylinder reservoir, the extra fluid ran out on the carport. Later I read the instructions and was warned to leave a 1/8 in. gap between the fluid and the top of the reservoir, which I probably didn't do, or it would creat pressure that could blow seals. I wonder if I should take the reservoir cap off and take some of the fluid out.
I looked at my front pads while I was at it and they are worn uneven. The back of the pads are wearing faster than the front. I found this link on line that deals with uneven wear of the front pads.

I might try this technique on the front while leaving the old pads in to wear the remaining material off.

In an issue earlier this year i asked about rear pads that wouldn't leave brake dust all over my whitewall tire.I was told to live with it by the writer. Since then i have heard from readers about Lyndal pads and others. I went with DP pads. I am happy with them. No dust and they stop fine. So much for how much magazine writers know. Dwight
