Default Harley Magazine Fewer Features?

As the chopper thing seems to disappear down the road we have been running fewer of them in the magazine.

What do you think?

Give me variety, give me something that stimulates my imagination, how would I do that? how would that look on my bike?
The OCC bike is sharp, lot of neat ideas.
Love the frame outside the tank, not original but nicely done.
Love the tank in the fender, not original but nicely done.
Also give me meat and potatoes.
Less “I woke up this morning and did not know what I wanted to write about so I was looking in the mirror and thought.........blaaa blaaa blaa.”
Tell me how he did the tank in the fender, tell me more about the motor, something not said before. How does it fit in the frame, how does the transmission bolt up..
Give me more how it was done.
That is what people want to read.
Yea need the bolt on chrome plastic, that keeps the advertisers happy when you print those, but give me something I can sink my teeth into.
Love the old bikes, love the choppers, love the baggers, just make them different, not the same as last month.
You guys do a great job, keep it up, just don’t get stuck in a rut.
And yea, give me more home builts. Check this out, this was built by a internet friend on another site. He built this in his garage, this is what I want to see.

John 1:14

It is the duty of nations, as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions, in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to recognize the sublime truth announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the LORD.

Buzz, Thanks for taking the time to ask your readers their thoughts. It's not everyday that a reader of any mag has instant access to playing a small part in whats printed.

Personally I love looking/reading about radical machines. They are more works of art than road machines so I like it mixed up. One article about a great chopper and the next is tips on how to replace a clutch on a Harley or something. I like the variety.

I definitely have more interest in what the average joe/non-big name shops are building vice what the big name that sells a bike for no less than 50-75k even though there's only probably only 20-25k in parts/labor/paint.

What I'm more interested in, in the way of choppers, is something that doesn't look like every other chopper out there. I'd be more interested in a retro-style chopper than another 350mm rear tire mammoth with skulls and spikes all over it. And if I see one more tribal paint job I'll shoot myself.

All of that being said, I think there's probably a lot of cool original bikes coming out of Joe Blow's garage than out of Bourget's Bike Works.

And now THAT being said... I really did like the OCC cover bike, and I generally think AIM does a pretty good job of seperating the wheat from the chaff when it comes to bikes they put in their rag.

I have a home built chopper that my father and I built. First time builders... although my father's a gear head who's built around 7 cars. Anyway, how do I go about sending you guys photos and whatnot for a possible feature?

Buzz, Thanks for asking what we would like to see.
It's no wonder you mag is the best.
I personally love what comes out of someones garage. Just a guy who loves Harley's and wants his to look a little or alot different than whats out there. I've built two ground up scoots in my time and felt quite proud of them both. I'm a journeyman machinist and made some of my own pieces. I'd love to see what other riders are doing and to hear why they did it that way.
Thanks for asking what we would like to see.
Keep up the great work.........

Default Old School Buzz

Buzz first of all thanks for the exellent Magizine! I enjoy it cover to cover.

I voted for More Joe Blow Garage Builds. I enjoy all of OCC's stuff as I think they build some of the best theme bikes in the buisness.
I am not a fan of the choppers that are all molded if you know what I mean. I like old school with either springers or girders.
But don't stop showing choppers. I know the chopper fad has died off but there are still enough of us that enjoy looking at choppers.
