I think the discussion about the "real choppers" will have no real ending, just a collection of opinions. My own opinion comes from the fact that I was there in those days, not watching a show in the '90s about a magazine from the '80s that had some pictures from the '70s.....................! Nome sain?
As I said in my 1st post. I REMEMBER choppers from the 60's and early70's that had shocks. I referenced the American Iron Chopper special because it shows PROOF, not I was there remembrances. BTW it was a 2005 magazine not an 80's mag And according to the magazine article most of the pics were from the 60 with a few from the early 70's. Another thing most get wrong is it was different in different parts of the country and most people make that mistake.. Well in Duluth I never saw that.. Or because it wasn't in Duluth it couldn't have been anywhere else. I was in Southern Cal in the latter part of the 60's and that is where I got my impressions from, but also noticed a big difference between those in So Cal and those around the Bay Area. But you are right about one thing and that is there is no real ending because it is all Opinions.

Lets look at it this way.......... The chopper days began in the 60's, and I'm talking long forks, tall sissy bars, king;queen seats, suicide shift.
OK, we got that settled, swing arm frames came out in the late 50's (1958). So, any chopper could have either. IMHO...........
AND........ Thats one of the baddest looking sporties out there..... Definitely a chopper.... again, IMO.......
