Default What Do Harleys Race As?

Curious about what real Harleys race in?

I know the NHRA Harley V-Rods aren't Harleys, same with the Buells. They are all handmade machines that "sorta look like a Harley V-Rod or Buell."

So where do real Harleys race? XR-750s in flat track, some hillclimbers and some club level drag racers. And throw in some Buell road racers. What else?

We are looking into the possibility of bringing one or more old Harley down to Maxton, NC in October to race at the Maxton Mile and see what we can do on LSR (Land Speed Records).

Just a fun deal, not expecting to go too fast our first time out on ancient iron.

Most tracks have street legal races, all you have to do is get certified in your class then you can race your harely, Of course sponsorship usualy does not accompany, just the motor heads who love building engines and dialing them in.
