Hope the weather holds up, looks like showers Friday night there.
If I get up Friday and it is raining, well, I'm not, going to do five hundred miles in a sixty degree rain. Taking a car is not an option, not sure what I will do.
Although it seems my urge to ride usually overrides my common sense and my ability to recall the misery of previous rain encounters.
Wright? T-Bone?
Rain? What rain? It's going to be perfect weather for me to set a record in my class and I think it would be a hoot to meet a bunch of you there to help the efforts.
We are making great progress with the 1931 V and I have to believe we will set a record and lay down a speed well in excess of what a stock V would have produced when new in 1931.
We are having a blast at Wheels Through Time museum and shoudl have it wrapped up tomorrow. Then it's off to Maxton Friday morning to get them by mid afternoon in time to go through rookie orientation and tech inspection.
If you go look for the green Ford F150 truck with the American Iron Magazine logos on the sides.

I'm leaving Friday morning early and riding 1,000 miles in the rain it looks like. I'll be at the Jameson Inn sometimes Friday night, hopefully. If it rains all day Saturday, I'll just stay in and watch college football. Sunday should be very good weather for setting records.

I am going to load up tonight, and will look at the weather tomorrow morning, but might wait until Saturday morning to leave, looks like the weather will be better then.
These tropical systems can be a pain.
Buzz looking forward to meeting you.
T-bone I sent you a E-mail, to get your name, cell phone.
Can’t believe more aren’t coming, especially the guys in the Carolinas.
Just about finished here in Maggie Valley with the 1931 Harley at Wheels Through Time and I am quite confident the team here did a great job wprepping the bike for my run in Maxton this weekend.
I am looking forward to meeting a lot of forum members there. Look for the greeen Ford F150 truck with American Iron Magazine on the sides. Of watch for the guy in the spiffy new black and white racing leathers on the rusty old black Harley.

Bring whatever you need. We have a canopy and 2 chairs here. Slight drizzle this evening and forecast for light rain Saturday morning, then clearing up Sat afternoon and perfect Sunday.
I am here with Dale Walksler of Wheels Through Time museum Wheels Through Time - Home, Brian Heinlein (not sure of the spelling) the builder of what are probably the worlds fastest Harley WR roadracers, Gary and his wife from a Harley dealer in PA. Look for the green Ford F150 pick up with American Iron Magazine on the sides.
Bike breezed through tech this evening and then we realized someone left the ignition switch on all day so the battery is drained dead. We are recharging it in the hotel room tonight.
See you tomorrow.
