Default Buzz's LSR Record Run

Good news people, on my first and only pass of the day today I set a record for my class (Production/Production Vintage, non-pushrod, 1350cc) with my 1931 Harley V flathead motorcycle.

I was recorded through the traps at the end of the standing mile at a bit over 73 miles per hour. This particular model did only 60 to 65 mph when new, so this is pretty cool.

With the record in hand I offered the bike to my pal Dale Walksler to run it in the 1650 class, which would be a big bump up for this 1200cc motorcycle. In my leathers and helmet, and on my bike Dale proceeded to set a record in that class ata little over 71 mph.

Tomorrow we will test a number of legal modifications with the bike and see if we can each increase our trap times.

Wish us luck.

Thumbs up This IS cool..

and I'm sure others are as anxious as me to hear today's (10/26) results...along with what "legal-modifications" you're making, etc.

Thanks. Details and photos to follow when we can.

All mods are fully legal, because they check the bike in impound when you beat a record.

Let's see if Dale and I can both beat yesterday's numbers today.

Those shiny new leathers must have been quite contrast to that rusty old Harley.

Yes the leathers looked great, and Buzz looked quite spiffy in them.
