Default Maxton check in.

Maxton check in.
Made it home ok, great ride, great time at the races, great meeting everyone.
T-bone rode a thousand miles in the rain, in one day going there, was going to do the same going home, at least it was not raining.
He should be home about midnight, or maybe tomorrow.
Buzz had a twelve hour drive, he should be home about now.
Maxton is always fun but this was over the top.
Thanks Buzz..............
Anyone who did not come missed a weekend of a life time.
Will post more tomorrow when I have more time, and can shink ttraight..
Going to write a ride report, and track report, then rewrite it and submit it, hopefully get it published.
Maybe the same time Buzz runs his article.
Got some great photos.
Later, Cruiser

I got home about 2 hours ago. Took a little time to eat some fresh chicken and sausage gumbo on rice plus some potato salad the wife was thoughtful enough to fix up for me. Nothing like a good hot gumbo in cold weather. It was very cold this morning at 4:00 AM Eastern Time. It warmed up a little when I turned south on I-65 and faced the sun for a few hours. It cooled off again when the sun went down in Bay St. Louis, Ms. and I still had about 3.5 hours to go. It wasn't as cold as N. Carolina, though.

Sounds like you all had a blast. Give us some of the ups and downs of the trip.

T-Bone........It should be around 15 degrees when I leave for home in the morning...Only a half hour jont. I could use a nice hot gumbo when I get there. I think tomorrow I break out the winter riding gear.

JPa

It wasn't that cold (15 degrees) but I was cold. The coldest I've been out in is 28 and that was biting cold. I've got a couple of reviews I want to write about. I'll do that later when I've rested up and thought about it a little more. I thought it was going to be extremely tough going all that far in one day but it really wasn't too bad.

T-bone is used to saddle time. He was one of "Roosevelt's Rough Riders" before he joined the corps. .

Glad to hear you had a great time and made it back safe.

So was the Gumbo any good??

It was so good I'm still eating on it. My Daddy used to call gumbo a long gravy. You get a lot of mileage out of one chicken.

Two Iron Butts in one weekend is awefully impressive. I'm not sure I could do it at all now. Although I would love to try.
Good for you Tbone. A serious iron butt!
