Is there any place out there to look at paint jobs? Thinking of having the ride painted this winter and I'd like to see whats out there.

Serious? Magazines, Internet, Bike shows and riders on the street. Paint is all over the place. If you see something you like ask who did the work. Go talk to the artist and give him an Idea what you want. Most bike shops can steer you to a good paint man.

Check out www.2wheeltattoos.com

They're in North Central Iowa and are VERY reasonable and experienced. For questions, call Darin at 515-341-4141.

Jim Munroe in Rhode Island has my tank for body work/paint. I found him on the internet and liked his work. I'll post when I get the tank back. Oh yea, it's a stretched RWD Bagger Tank I'm putting on a custom bagger I'm building. The bike if Vivid Black, except for the tank which will have a custom military emblem painted on it. I should mention the tank needs extensive body work done to it. Even though it is new I'd say it is VERY rough at best. It will have to be molded for the seat to fit right and a lot of filler where the dash goes.

http://jimmunroe.com/, got the tank back today. It is awesome. Great communications and customer service. Although the painter was in Rhode Island and I'm in Virginia it was no problem. The body work on the new tank is perfect. The paint is flawless.

Default Great web site

Airea 5150 has a GREAT website for paint jobs. They have all of the styles broke down for you and it is fairly easy to navigate through. I have not used them but did call them once to discuss a paint job. They were super nice and more than willing to help me, spending about 20 minutes with me on the phone, no hurry either.
