Lightbulb My Girl

For several yrs Ive tossed around ideas of a custom bagger. So common now, I want something very unique; a real head turner. There has been only 1 bike in 5 yrs of magazines that I would use for a build foundation. I held on to this mag for a long time and somehow let it get away from me. I would appreciate any help offered. In 2004 and 2005 I was subscribed to Hot Rod Bikes. Sometime around the time they changed to Bikeworks this Bike feature appeared. If you have access to these old issues it will be a dead ringer to spot with my description. This Electra Glide bagger was built in Canada by a Canadian. It was Candy Red, or Candy Apple Red with a natural color leather seat. It had some sort of possibly custom made bags on it. They were very rounded, unlike factory bags. Rear end was low with wide tire and a Fat Bagger type fender. It had custom fabbed fiberglass running boards for footrests. The kicker, the engine was not a typical polish or powdercoat. It was some sort of finish I seem to remember them saying was aircraft. If anyone has access to these issues this bike is easy to spot. I would greatly appreciate receiving this feature article. Mike McCann the man has to have something to go by! If you spot this bike imagine it in pearl white, polished engine, Max chrome with gold accents. Thanks for you're help. P.S I've sought help from Bikeworks. They won't even reply!!!

The website is still running. Have you tried looking under "back issues". I had a look but did not see the article. You may know what to look for.

What's with those guys? If I have it right, first they were Hot Rod Bikes, then changed name to BikeWorks, now they are Hot Bike Baggers? What's next for them - why can't they make up their mind who they are?

I think you've got it right, Baggerdad. I had a subscription to Biikeworks..turned into Baggers which I'm now getting. They don't have near the useful content that AIM does.
