Mike thanks, I know we have talked over in the build section, the encouragement I get in here, helps me keep going.
The bags were a much bigger project than I imagined. Before I started I was telling my Son in law about making a set of bags and how I would do it. Felt it would be a piece of cake. Well long story short, he went out bought a gallon of resin, some glass, some Styrofoam and shaped some bags for his Softail.
I forgot to tell him to cover the Styrofoam with plastic before applying the resin.
It melted everything into a big glob.
Everything ended in the trash.
One more quick story, when I was a kid, sixteen or so, we had a small boat with a crack. I talked my dad into letting me fix it. Long story short, the boat sank.
Nobody go hurt, it sunk next to shore so everyone laughed, and I am still the butt of that story at every family dinner, forty five years later.
I thought I knew a lot about glass, but find the more I learn the less I know.

Personally I like the hangers hidden in plain sight, I think they emphasize the curve in the fender make the bags flow.
Future planes are for a set molded right to the fender, with no hangers, but there are a lot of design problems to work out for that. Main one you would have to take off the fender bags to service the tire.
Right no I am up to my neck if fiberglass trying to get these done. They have been off the bike more than on.
Here is a right side veiw, sorry about the photo it is pretty poor quality.
That pic is much better for showing the brackets. I didn't think they looked bad before, but they really do flow well with the fender from that angle.

I like the leather idea. That would look slick!

John 1:14

It is the duty of nations, as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions, in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to recognize the sublime truth announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the LORD.

By golly don't you know it. Family sure seems to remember my screw-ups, but never seem to recall the things I did right.lol
