Default American Iron Magazine Is OCC a Harley?

I just got the new November issue of American Iron Magazine - "For People Who Love Harley-Davidsons" and see the cover shows the new OCC bike with an S&S X-Wedge motor, and the "exclusive First Ride" of the new Harley Tri Glide trike.

I have not been a big fan of the OCC bikes, which I find cartoonish. But I have to saw this yellow & black custom with the X-Wedge is stunning! Even if it is not a Harley in your magazine for Harley lovers.

Gotta wonder is this a new direction for OCC or is this just a one off?

I'm gonna say it's a one-off, mostly because it doesn't have some company's logos and swag hanging off it. I know a lot of people bag on OCC, but I don't think they'd get the accolades they do if they made a lot of crap. Crap tends to fall by the wayside fast. It would be cool as all getout to see something even close to that bike become one of their production bikes.

Bagger Dad - where does it say that AIM - is going to show only Harley's???? Just a question. I personally think - that OCC bikes are crap - the ones that are 1 off - never get ridden - I doubt they would make 500 miles.I quit watching the show 4 or 5 years ago... I fall into the category of - who cares what they do -

I think that AIM this year so far has done a good job showing all sorts of bikes that the average folk can afford. I like the add ons and the tech discussions - even if they are over my head... at least I learn something.......

I agree with you Texan.....
I love looking at bikes that are being built in garages. The tech. tips are some of the best reading, i love it.
Beautiful bikes being built by the average guy in his garage especially if they are older scoots such as pans, knucks, and shovels speak very loudly to me. When the artical covers interesting stories about how the person came across the bike or other interesting facts is great reading.
Keep it up AIM.

Forget the cartoon family.

There's a place for show bikes. I know businesses use them for centerpeices at shows and in ads, and it shows of hbuilders skills and creativity. And they do give people ideas, even if they hate what they're looking at on the whole they might think, "Hey, that thing right there would look alright on my ride with a little help."

Still, having a bike that isn't made to be ridden, or worse - isn't ridable, is a pretty much a big waste of space and money to me. If I'm going to spend 5 digits on a bike I'm damned sure going to be able to ride it!
