Default Front end pic

My front end came in on Wednesday and I put it on yesterday. Here is a pic of the results. It's a Redneck Engineering springer that is around 20"over on a RT frame with 50* rake. Let me know what you think!

That's going to be a really nice bike. I like the simplicity of kick only and the beauty of a rigid frame.

Smile New Project

Found a Titan basket case, gonna see If I can't get it on the road by spring. Quick measure of rods and cylinders gives me impression it's a 112 S&S. Start cleaning and inspecting this afternoon.

Default Yeah, I'm still here!

Still here and yes there has been alot of progress. I have built the lower rear fender mount, made and welded on the mid mounts, made rear struts and have the rear fender on. The oil tank mount is built and the oil tank is mounted. Made the gas tank mounts and mounted it as well. I had a front wheel issue, I bought a wide glide wheel and then found out it wouldn't fit (with the front caliper) on the front end, so I had to send that back and ended up with a narrow glide wheel that solved that problem. The bike is off of the bench and on the floor. I am in the middle of doing a complete mock up to look for anything I might have missed. Then a teardown and off to paint. While the frame and sheet metal is away, I have some other things to get done: I cut the starter ear off of the transmission(kick only, no electric start) and that still needs some grinding/smoothing and then a quick polish. The trans also will have to have the kick start kit put in. I have to make the front wheel spacers and make sure the front caliper fits right and send the front end out for chroming. I already made the rear wheel spacers and I will powder coat the spacers(using the powder coat gun I bought last year for my other bike). And today I am measuring for handlebars/risers and am going to order them(I am going to use some sort of apes - about 14" to 16").
Here are some pics:
Lower fender mount:

On the bike:

Trans. starter ear cut off:

And finally, on the floor:

So you can see I have been busy! I will post another picture when I get the handlebars on(before the teardown). Thanks for the interest!
