Default Looking for a passenger seat

Hi there guy, If you don't remember i own a 2006 Thunder Mountain custom cycles Keystone, I had some recent work done on the bike, and I am now looking for a passenger seat for my bike. The rear tire is a 300, thus i am looking for anyone that has one for sale. I am posting a request here because i called up Thunder Mountain and they priced me $900, which is crazy, I also looked into having one custom made but those guys told me it would take about 3 weeks or so and it would cost even more. Thank you in advance.

Hi Keystone
When I got my BMC, it has a 240 tire, they sold me a pillion seat Called "Phantom Pad" that sets on the fender held in place with suction cups. The wife says she wont ride on the back of that "Insane Machine" so I dont know if it is very comfy, but it is approx 2" thick. Well, here are some pictures......

I just remembered you were asking for someone with a seat for sale, well I'd kinda like to hang onto mine, cuz it will save the fender if I decide to go on a road trip again. I can put the sleeping bag and other crap on it and save the paint.
But it is a way cheeper option than the $900 one you got!!!!

These are the metal rails on the side of my fender that a seat could snap into, also this seat would be totally above my fender and not touching the paint.

Another pic with the two metal rails on both sides.

this is a seat from my fathers blackhawk, this is the kind of seat i am looking for, this seat would be awesome except this seat is for a 240 rear tire :/

This is the bottom of the seat with four metal clips that would snap into the metal rails.

And here is just a close up of my paint on the gas tank

I just opened up one of my 'other' bike mags, and saw an ad for a seat exactly like the one in your picture.

Heartland USA - Harley-Davidson Softail Wide Tire Conversions and E-Z Rocker Specialist

I havent found their "second seat" yet.

but naybe you can contact them and see if they do 300 seats. The biggest stuff I sent them have is for a 250.

Happy to help!

It was wierd, I just opened the mag, turned about 4 pages, and there was the seat that looked just like your dad's.....

Good luck with that.

Hi Keystoneboy. I have the same problem. These seats are hard to find. If you haven't hears from Heartland they are going to tell you that they made those for TMCC and don't have any more in stock. The largest they have is for a 250(?) tire and don't have plans to make more. Perhaps if they have several orders they might make them again. The other option is to buy the 250 frame only, modify it to fit the 300 and get someone to make a seat. Let me know if you find one.
