I finally got off my butt and picked up my April issue of AIM. I like bobbers. Always have. Exile has come out with some nice looking bikes. Both the ones featured in AIM cost over $50,000. I dont see how either cost 50,000 or more. Its a bobber for christ sake! I see em in 2D I just dont see how they come up with the cost. The name maybe? It sure aint parts or labor.

Okay I looked again. I still dont see the cost. I thought Diamonds were inflated. Geez. 50 grand for a bobber. You gotta be kiddin me.

I've read that Harley dealers are selling the '08 SE Ultras for at least $37k and some dealers are asking and getting several thousand more in dealer markup. And they're selling them as fast as they get them! I guess that in this hunkered down economy we're experiencing right now there's still plenty of people with plenty of disposable income they can throw at whatever fulfills their fantasies. About the only good thing I can say about this kind of indiscriminate spending is that it keeps the Harley factory workers and custom builders employed.
