Seat pads Lately I have heard a few people complaining about feeling their seat pads slipping, or as they dismount the bike the pad hits the ground. My wife and I figured out a nice fix.
I bought a Harley dog collar (the kind with the easy clip, not the metal buckle) for a medium/large dog neck that would fit around the seat, and some sewable Velcro tape I got at the sewing section of a local store.
Put the collar on the pillion and adjusted it so that the clip wasn't rubbing the paint or anything, and had a long area of collar material across the seat. Marked the collar and the seat where the Velcro should go (about a 6" x 1.5" area) Took a pad-wide length of the Velcro and sewed one of the strips to the dog collar, and the other strip to the pad (I also used some bonding material on both collar and pad).
The collar can be easily removed from the seat and her pad doesn't slide or fall off. It also looks really decent with the bar & shield/flames design, but a solid color, or a design of your liking, would work. The whole thing was under $20.
