Default Hmmmmmm

A few weeks ago my bike seemed to be jumping around a little more than normal on the back end. I re-adjusted the shocks I also noticed around the same time that the bike also had a little more get up and go. Hidden power!!!

Huh???? Didn't change nothing. Do for an overdue oil change and have not washed it in a few months other than that no mods.

I then realized my pants were big and I had to hitch up my belt a few notches.

All my running around, lack of food, being tired, late night shenanagins lost me about 23 pounds.

Cost- $0

Amazing! I've been wanting to try that performance performance boosting tactic myself, just haven't been able to shed those extra pounds. I know yours was forced upon you, I hope things improve for you soon.

Yup, right on schedule. Weight loss comes with the stress of what's going on When it happened to me I took the opportunity to join a gym - working out relieves the stress and tones up where the lost beef might be sagging. I found a couple of guys to work out with - we talk sports, politics etc. makes the time go faster and encourages you to work. Oh yeah, it also helped me spend less time in the bars.

I ain't preaching, you sound like a strong individual. You're making a bad situation work for you and that's the only way you'll come out of it with your head on straight.

Yup Gaining the pounds happens fast, I put on about 40 or 50 lbs after back surgury. I stumbled around for 3 years or so, then got mad at my situation and picked up an axe, and later a splitter. in about 18 months, I had split over 35 cords of wood, sold it, paid off the splitter, lost 40 pounds, got back in shape, got a better higher paying job and got back on a bike!!!! what a long road that was, Riding and meeting other riders, is sure a great way to live. Am looking forward to a good ride Saturday. we are gonna meet up with a few friends and go for a spin.

tommy
It's Gonna start aout real Chilly... down in the 40's Brrrrr. Then it will top out in the upper 60's maybe see 70. No clouds.... just sun shine all day

we are gonna try for about 200 to 300 miles.... just ride everywhere......North east of the bay area here. maybe around Clearlake, if you are look at a map...then there are the roads along the Sacramento River. Lots of backroads.
will check in here saturday evening ......

Uncle, how was your ride? I found Clearlake and the Sacramento River on my handy dandy HD Ride Atlas that I got for my last birthday, however I couldn't find North Bay. Is that an actual town or more of the name for an area? In the summer of aught 7 I was down 395 into Susanville and then across into Nevada over a dirt road to Pyramid Lake. Hot, desolate, isolated, and breathtakingly beautiful. It was my first blast into Cali on a scooter and I was suprised at how uncongested and agrarian the ride to Susanville was. Backroads in good repair and no traffic, it doesn't get much better.

Yeah, Northbay is the general area north of the Golden Gate Bridge. can extend all the way up... as far as one wants to be included I guess... and then as far east as Sacramento and west to the ocean.

I live about 1 hour north of the bridge, just north of Healdsburg.

Susanville area is way out in the back country, I have yet to get out there.

as far as my ride this weekend!!! I am afraid to say, you guys in the snow country might have me lynched if I bragg too much. I got up, and hopped on the bike at 8 am. Saturday it was just above freezing but warmed up to 60's. I was the only one to ride with short sleeves. (after it got above 55*) .. everyone else was all bundled up... kinda funny.

Both days I left at 8am and rode till it was past dark..... logged in over 500 miles ( we stopped to enjoy the views)....what a weekend,

the Ultra ran flawlessly, weather was perfectly clear, traffic was mild since we only went on side roads. The wife went with me Saturdaym but stayed home Sunday. there were only 3 to 6 bikes in our group.

I found a road similar to the Tail of the Dragon over there on the east coast!!! between Winters and Napa. It is over 11 miles, but it sure gives the feeling of what that road might be like.

Life is grand when ya got a bike...
