Default Harley Storage

I know a lot of you will be storing your bikes this winter and a lot of us who live along the coast have some of the same problems. One of these is how to keep the bike dry while sitting undercover or on a concrete floor or both. A product I have used to take care of this is the Golden Rod. This is an aluminum tube about 3/4" dia. and about 3' long with a 50W heater inside. I mounted mine an a 2X6 and slide it under the bike before putting the cover on. If you can't fint the Golden Rod, sold at most marine supply stores, you can get a plastic model at any store that sells pianos. Just ask for a damper rod, these come in several lengths, and do the same job.

Yeah I have been thinking about getting a set for the bikes. I have a link to their homepage at home, but here's a link to a store that sells them.
Drytheair.com: - Goldenrod Dehumidifiers

I was wondering about which size to purchase. I think it could be done by a 25W or maybe even a 18W

Gas Man, thanks for the site. I bought mine years ago and don't really remember what wattage I bought. I remember back in the 60's & 70's we used to use a 50W light bulb so that is what I bought for my wifes trikes. I bought the ones for the trikes from a piano store for about half of what I paid for the Golderod. The ones for the trikes are 4' long, but they do come in different lengths and do the same job as the aluminum Goldenrod.

If your not living on the edge, your taking up to much space
