I have found a few things at Auto Zone like oils and light bulbs for my bike. Different part numbers and packaging but identical otherwise and a whole lot cheaper!

Default I never thought about Autozone

The light bulb went on when I read this post.
It just never occurred to me to look at an auto parts store.

I am probably going to switch to Mobil1 and start changing my own fluids. Seems like I read a post about a Mobil1 filer. Do you know if Autozone carries this, if there even is one?

How critical is it to change the o rings on the drain plugs? I understand that they can wear and cause a leak, but do you have to change them every time?

I buy Mobil1 V-Twin oil at Auto-Zone but I have never seen oil filters there except for STP oil Filters for bikes. You don't have to change the O-Ring unless it gets torn or distorted.

Default Filter oil O ring

Have a 2000 FXDWG since new have used nothing but Mobile Vtwin 20/50 in crank and mobile 90/140 in trans thick but quiets it. and HD in primary. Filters try K&N you can take it on and off with 5/8 socket and has better specs than HD's in 8 years I have never replaced an O ring.....
