I'm sure everyone has their favorites and for the most part for mild builds they all closely compare. I prefer Ness Big Sucker personally and I'll tell you a couple of reasons. I have installed at the moment the stage one allthough I have the stage two that I ran for a couple of years. What I like about the backing plate is that where the banjo bolts go through it is smoother and flush that can allow just a chrome plate over the front of the filter leaving the exposed filter looking better. I use the stage one because I wanted to use my stock football cover and the option of using just the chrome plate at times. It compares with the screaming eagle in size and air flow and a tad bit cheaper. The stage two Big Sucker filter is 20% larger giving about a 9% more increase in airflow they claim. I really think for near stock builds it is unnecessary but will suck some major air. I don't know much about the forcewinder types but I would presume they have increased airflow but for everyday riding I am leary about non hard covered filters in the rain although they do have the sock that comes with them or as an additional purchase. Of course a velocity stack sucks the most air but unless you are drag racing I wouldn't even start a bike without filtration.

Ha ha, I read the first post/question and since I know very little about EFI,, I just left it to those that are more experienced with EFI..

I can comment on this however..
I've run a foam covered only air cleaner for years, it has NO outside cover..

I've been caught in Very heavy Monsoon rain for many miles at a time, mostly high-way speeds, sometime city,, as well as hail,, and will admit that I was always waiting for the coughing and choking and temporary break-down from water contamination but, dang bud, it never happened..

Oh yeah,,,, Yup, I'm buying..!!

I run the Arlin Ness Big sucker Stage 1 with V&H Oval slip ons the classic set up so I'm told and I just am Lovin It, sounds good, looks good and I did it myself using the V&H Fuel Pak. Any way I like the Chrome back plate on the air cleaner as well it's easy to keep clean and running with the stock HD football front plate its like I have a little secret in there no one can see. It looks clean. . . How ever any one know how to clean the air filter? It says its a lifetime filter but I'm not so sure. And when I open it up after a long ride should it be clean or a little resadue in there? And it dosn't like to start right away after sitting a while? Any thoughts? Thanks! Roadking1024
