If my gas sits long enough for me to start thinking about tasting it or even using a fuel stabilizer then I must have some really big fish frying.
I've tasted alot of things but don't think i'll be tasting gas any time soon.

You don't have any fuel sitting in the jets to gum up. With storing fuel injected bikes over the long MN winter I have never treated the fuel and have never had gumming problems.

I also had a carb bike and the thing was so gummed up the next spring it wouldn't run.

I've been known to have some different theories though.

Hi hdnt
When I wrote the above (quoted here) I just knew (from your previous postings here) that you are NOT dumb enough to believe that an EFI system would keep fuel from going bad etc...and I was just having some fun with your having initially written that with the EFI you..."don't have a problem with gas going bad or gumming up anything"

Gas should not go bad in a 4 or 5 month Siesta in yer tank. Add stabilizer if you like. Run the carb dry if you like also. I have never seen an issue in any of my gas operated toys when they sat over the winter. Mower, Weedwhip all fired up just fine come spring with old gas. Heck the Two cycle mix I have for the Chainsaw and Mini Bike works good also. That was over a year old.
