Default To add or not to add...

That is the question. When you changed/change your exhaust and air cleaner will you or did you add a fuel controller (i.e. the S.E.R.T., V&H Fuel Pak, etc) and why or why not?

Yes same as you would adjust a carb if you added those Item's. Programmed to get the best out of your Mods. Jets and a screw driver are a lot cheaper...

You pretty much have to. Your bike would run much too lean if you didnt. You added air, you got to add fuel to keep the ratio where it belongs.

I replied to your P.M., hope this helps. My comments only apply to bikes with the O2 sensors as you stated. I also referenced, Chris's reply to the letter "S&S Quick Kit" on page 34 of the June 08 A.I.M.. It also reference's the main article in the April 08 A.I.M., page 186.
Do your research, make up your own mind, and good luck.

What he said, and since I went to better cams as well she's definitely breathing deeper.

When I added the true duals/SE air cleaner - I also added the SERT - had it dyno'd - the question would be why wouldn't you?

cost/gain. If you think the gain? (over the o2 sensors adjusting the ECM) is worth the cost, go for it!

Agreed... and it is very expensive. At least, my SERT was. Be careful not to blue your pretty new pipes if you don't get the fueler. Might recommend picking up some high-heat paint and coating the inside of your pipes.

John 1:14

It is the duty of nations, as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions, in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to recognize the sublime truth announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the LORD.
