Default 6 Gallon Fuel Tank

Any thoughts if the newer 6 gallon fuel tanks can be installed on earlier models, like an 03 Ultra?

Found the answer, and rats won't bolt directly on! There's a 6 gallon tank on Ebay off an 08 Ultra, thought it had my name on it. The auction ends in 7 hours if anyone is interested, current bid is $152.00 + change. Been that bid for 3 days. Tank color even matches my bike, vivid black.

OK - It is a good question - would an 08 tank bolt on to an 07 - I am thinking of ordering a 6 gallon tank from the MOCO - to match the color of the bike. Would it be a matter of taking the old one off and putting the new one on.......

P.S. Don't let my wife know I am thinking about this for her Christmas present.....

You know..........We need a few KC-10 Motorcycles on the road. Then we would not have to stop for gas. In-flight Fueling.......
