Default fuel or ignition module

I'm having a prob with my 95 fat boy it starts and runs fine for a short time then dies like its starving for gas but if it sits for a few min it starts up again and i can go a few more miles before it dies. I never had this problem before it just started the plugs look good and the caps are venting could this maybe vapor lock or symptoms of the ignition module going out thanks.

Sounds like your running on the fuel in the bowl.
Is it EFI, or a carb?

It's an S & S carb 96 CID engine I'll check the float and gas flow It's going in storage next week I can go about 5 or 6 miles and then it just dies. Does the ignition module act like that when its going out or do they just go out completely?

When the Ignition module on my 85 XLX went bad it acted that same way. I started messing with the carb, I finally caught it acting up and checked the spark....very weak and yellow.
