 03 flhri fuel pressure regulator "o" ring
Hi all, My bike developed a squealing noise from the fuel tank console when idling. The bike runs fine. I traced it to the small "o" ring on the fuel pressure regulator (it has a flat spot on it). I tried to match it up from the 4 different "o" ring kits that I have with no luck. I went to the local dealer to get the "o" ring and was told I had to buy a whole new regulator ($69) to get the "o" ring. The parts guy said they dont sell it seperately and he wouldnt be able to match it up for me. I tried to match it up at several auto parts stores with no luck. I lubed it up and reinstalled it. That worked for about 2,000 miles, now the noise is back. I even contacted some of the mail order motorcycle parts companys with no luck. Any ideas? I dont want to spend $69 bucks for an "o" ring but I want to get the correct replacement. Any info would be greatly appreciated. |
