When you read the article below you will realize the serious issues that are coming our way. I read in another magazine an entire discussion of this issue and prompted me to re join the AMA( had dropped out over some directional issue which they seem to have fixed). This is coming and we as a group -motorcyclists - need to ban together to make sure that this doesn't become the law of the land.
I would like to see AIM take up this issue and get opinions how to address this "loss of our freedoms."
I don't really care what they do with cars- since they are the majority of the problem but I do have a problem when it comes to motorcycles - are we easy targets because we are "independent" unorganized individuals? When you read the thread on this board of 'what do you do for a living" we are a very diverse group - well educated - influential. We need to make sure everyone hears about this ...join AMA or A.B.A.T.E and make sure they focus on this issue - if not - we will end up Like the EU - with a set of laws that bans ANY modifications to the engine other than what the OEM puts on the bike.... Ok I am off the soap box.....

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) announced recently that it concluded an investigation against Dynojet Research, Inc. At issue was the company's "Power Commander" that can be used to alter the air-fuel mixture and engine timing of on- and off-road motorcycles. CARB said that the installation of these devices would adversely affect the emissions control systems of vehicles that were certified by the original equipment manufacturers to comply with the agency's emissions standards. Dynojet has now certified a California version of the "Power Commander" and has agreed to pay $1,000,000 in penalties to the California Air Pollution Control Fund.

I think we should cut California loose they're getting to be a real pain in the ass. The EPA has this bad habit of adopting CARB rules and regs not the other way around which is the way it should be

The California BS likes to make its way East. I am tired of the No Brained Yahoo's out there making bad decisions that migrate to other Yahoo,s across the states. I think we give California back to Mexico and New York and DC to Canada.

I have never seen so many sheep willing to go to the slaughter house cuz the Pied Piper whistled a tune that aint even believable.

Minnesota wants to mirror some of the EPA crap from California and put some of them in charge.

Time to take back our freedom... Boy am I getting tired!!!

Each time this raises it's head it is another skirmish.........then another ....then another.. They take a liitle each time if we aren't vigilant.

Our idiots to enviro nazis are also keen to adopt that crap very keenly

so The first ones i will do as a dictator should be to send them to concentration camps and terrorize them forever there.
