Very interesting Chud, you showed me stuff I had not kept up with, very good...
Briefly I can only retort that Nixon had a totally liberal TWO houses of Congress that he could not budge and a left wing Supreme Court...
Bush has both houses of congress and a slightly more conservative court, although it is still lib 5-3 with Kennedy as a swing vote...
Bush should have taken advantage of his TWO houses of congress and swung us back right but instead his social spending and his "compassionate conservative" stance has allowed us to keep drifting further to the left...
You did your homework,,, I respect that...
BTW-- It is Johnsons "Great Society", i.e. his executive order of Affirmative Action and mammoth social//welfare spending, etc. etc. that started us on this fall into eventual Socialism at best and Totalitarian Communism at worst...
Some might say politics is inappropriate for a motorsickle forum but it is the current left-wing eco-freak politics that has us dodging these outrageous attacks on our motorsickling freedoms...

Good points, my friend. I think I'm going to go with LBJ as having the loudest pipes. I heard that if he was annoyed with an aid or a congressman he took the conversation to the toilet:

From time to time, Johnson's antagonism
toward these men of culture assumed the
crude shape of simple exhibitionism. His
penchants for talking to visitors while
on the toilet, for using crude and
scatological language, and for
exhibiting his sexual organs were
especially pronounced when he dealt with
'gentlemen of culture.'
(I think this is urban legend because it appears primarily in leftist references)

Frisco - and nothing wrong with discussing it when we see an oppressive move to strip of us our individual rights - and that's what's happening - they won't be happy until we're scootin around on fuel-celled neuter-scooters!
