Default Hl2t?

Looking at the HL2T set up on my cam gear replacement. When I look it up I cannot find a kit that is listed as a HL2T. Is the HL2T just the lifter limited travel spacer or is the HL2T the Hydraulic tappet and travel spacer?

The HLT2 kit actually just consists of 4 spacers. Now, S&S does sell the lifters that include the HLT2 kits somewhere just over $200. But, the kit (spacers) is really designed to limit the range of travel of the tappet plunger using stronger valve springs and very aggressive cams. I really don't think you are gonna need it.

I'd like to add my personal opinion. First, I am no racer, I am certainly not a major mechanic. I rely on an Indy mechanic for the knowledge that I have every bit of confidence in. A while back he did win the horsepower shoot out at Daytona two years in a row so he does know how to make horse power. But that is irrelevant to me. I want reliability and just a few extra ponies at a price that won't break the bank. To me spending extra money on lifters that claim to add a couple of extra HP at $360 a set compared to my aftermarket ones at $80 is just not sensible for me. Shoot, you can get an extra HP or two by just indexing your plugs if that is so important. This is all just me, I read about striving to squeeze every bit of HP doing so many things but the fact is, those few ponies come with a high price tag better spent on head work etc that will make a real difference. This is my opinion only but thought I'd throw it in.

Default HL2T Thanks

Answered my question guys thanks, I'm not looking for horsepower, like the bike as it is. Just want to up grade to gear cams. Sounds like the HL2T lifter spacers will help in the long run for just a few dollars. THANKS
