I'd like to add my personal opinion. First, I am no racer, I am certainly not a major mechanic. I rely on an Indy mechanic for the knowledge that I have every bit of confidence in. A while back he did win the horsepower shoot out at Daytona two years in a row so he does know how to make horse power. But that is irrelevant to me. I want reliability and just a few extra ponies at a price that won't break the bank. To me spending extra money on lifters that claim to add a couple of extra HP at $360 a set compared to my aftermarket ones at $80 is just not sensible for me. Shoot, you can get an extra HP or two by just indexing your plugs if that is so important. This is all just me, I read about striving to squeeze every bit of HP doing so many things but the fact is, those few ponies come with a high price tag better spent on head work etc that will make a real difference. This is my opinion only but thought I'd throw it in. |
