You asked a vague question. It all depends on how radical the stroke is. Engine Components used. How it was put together. How you ride it.
So you got what you gave. Not much.
Next time you order a pizza you need an address for delivery. You think?
The 08 Twin Cams are Stroked. Course I am sure you already knew that! |

As stated I was more interested in "behavior ' on the street. Pro's & con's vs. a stock motor. Frisco's post was well taken and appreciated. Owning both a stroker and a stocker myself I feel ("in my experience") that a stocker is better suited to the "street". The stroker absolutely has it's thrills but they also seem a bit grumpy on the low end or driving it easy. No right or wrong just some opinions on running a big motor in traffic or puttin' around town and the effect a stroker / big cams have, positive or negative. |

Well now there is a short stroke and many people like that and for good reason. I don't like strokers much but every air cooled H.D. is to some degree a stroker, under square. I like the Sportster because it's closer to being square. A square motor or near is best IMO. The stroker has seen it's day IMO, to much heat. Why H.D. stroked the 88 is beyond me, the 95 runs much better. |

The Revolution is a classic "square stroke" and a very short stroke.
Good enough power gains (imo) can still be made with larger valves, cams, bigger bore ect.leaving the stroke stock. For me it works fine, a nice little kick but still very streetable.
*I think Harley stroked the 88 to try and compete with all these huge ass V-twins the japs are throwin' at us'! 1800cc's and the limey's have that rocket at 2300 cc's? |

No **** man and what I am learning here speaks volumes......I got a couple dozen responses with only 1 member- 4cams addressing the original question and that's fine with me yet seems a bit of hostility aimed at this thread, I don't get that. Perhaps it's a literacy problem? | | | |
