Is there a way to repair a case with a pulled cylinder stud?

Default case repair

Check out Helicoil or Timesert. The Timesert has a shoulder that may interfere with some situations but otherwise works well. The expense of buying the tools vs a trip to the machine shop is a consideration. Both companies have websites so you can see what is involved.

Good luck

I would take it to a machine shop for sure. If it IS possible to use a helicoil or something similar it would have to be done with the utmost care and accuracy. Not something that should be attempted in the garage at home unless you have jigs for the cases to keep them square and vertical.
I suppose you could make a jig and clamp it in place making sure none of the filings wind up in the cases.
Whatever you decide good luck.
