Blow by?? What a bunch of crap! I've bored and stroked countless numbers and have not had one problem. If you have the SE air cleaner, remove the breather bolts and drill the hole to 4mm. With the added crankcase pressure, you're heads ain't breathing. That causes excess oil to build in the breathers and pass it out that small hole. Making it bigger reduses the pressure.

Tipper, the backplate will help. It's similar to the big sucker air cleaner from Arlen Ness, but i would still recommend that he still enlarge the breather bolt holes and install the "Mystfree". I guess Relic has been one of the lucky ones who hasn't had a problem but just about everyone i know with a big bore kit has had problems with oil pissing from their air cleaner. Some were able to cure the problem by just enlarging the holes in the breather bolts while others had to take it a step further. I just think it would be wise for Lou to take it that one step further while it's apart.

Once again guys thanks for all the advice! It is really great knowing that all of you really care about your V-Twins and are willing to help a dumb rookie like me! I have been in contact with the dealer and passed along the info! Actually told them to do it! What are your thoughts on a bad oil pump not scavengeing properly? A couple of years ago everyone was posting stuff on the bad cam bearings. I have not seen, except for this site, much chatter about lots of Harleys with massive blowby problems, yet the more I dig, the more I see this problem pop up! What gives???

As I said in my lasrt post I never had the blowby to the extreme as you have apparently had but as mtyevo said and what i said I think we have come up with an answer that HD is not aware of and apparently its worse on larger heads, which if you think about it go back to mtyevo statement pressure and drilling out. Also I have read about in AIM the Mystfree part and it works. Mine was cured by what I posted eairler. I guess what I'm saying is a bunch of indivduals who aren't techs and have a great website like this can sometimes solve problems with the interchange of ideas that techs never come up with....

I bought a set of Mystfrees for my03 roadglide. Did they work? Only a little in my opinion still had oil consumption problems.

I have a 09 ultra with 103 stage 2 kit with 8500 miles. I have had to clean the air cleaner /backing plate every ride. Have an appointment Tuesday, so I'll let you know what they say
