These "Blockhead" Sportsters are a bit different than your old '79, Uncle. If it has not been modified, you will find that you have hydraulic lifters (no need for adjustment) and non-adjustable push rods (no provision for adjustment).
As with the big twins, there is the option of cutting out the solid push rods and installing quick change adjustables in order to work on the cam chest without disturbing the rocker boxes. If someone made that change, it is still a case of "set them and forget them".
Are you having issues with noisy lifters? If not just ride it, keep the oil changed, and enjoy it.

Default Poping

Hey Uncle,

You are just a bit lean on the mixture. Up one size on the low speed jet and maybe a needle (27094-88) change. Less than $20.00. Any mods to the bike ?
