The way I see it the money spent on doing the 103 for me was not that radical and I still have the factory warranty. The sound of the engine (you know something has been done) and the Low to Mid Torque makes for a fun riding machine.

103 kit is best, you have to split cases to do 110, and it's not really worth the work or money.... 103 kit, have a trusted good local builder port and polish, good cam, good pipes dyno tune it ...away you go....

Hey tommy, did you get your heads done locally and how much did it cost? I was tossing around the idea this winter but the head guys that were being recommended were south of the border.

Hey Shaggy, the same guy did the heads on my 85 over 20 years ago that did them on the 07. He's local to you and does a perfect job, the price is probably over $1400 not counting r&r but it was money well spent. V Twin Specialties is the name, if you are interested some of the performance shops in Edmonton deal with him.

I'll have to see about checking him out, I guess. Maybe you could PM me a phone number if you can find it? Thanks.

Shiawassee HD use to do a Jims upgrade to any touring bike you purchased from them for a fee. Jims 120CI motor, Jims Fat 5 trans. Jims warrenty drive train, HD would warrenty everything else. I think it was like $12k for the upgrade. And they would hand you the zero mile 96CI stock motor and trans to do whatever you want with.
