Rockers with pads..----- I think you're talking about Non-Roller Rocker arms,, yes..???
I have run old-style Non-roller rockers for waay over 300,000 miles with never a single Zero problem.. They are an old proven commodity..
And if a Pad shows a wee bit of wear you can dress it up with a light grinding and polishing..
I would never argue with Donny but I do have my own Hands-On experience to draw from..
I have also run Roller Rockers for about 6 years on the 120" and for awhile in the 93" shovel, and of course the 127" has them.. If there is a diff in efficiency, power, heat,, I cannot tell..
To date I've had No probs with the rollers either with at least 70K on the 120's rollers.. Remember the rollers have needle bearings and there is always a possibilty of failure there..
