I ran the 106 ci through a MACH index calculator. For those that don't know what a MACH index calculator is, it's a calculator that determines what the maximum RPM that the engine will make HP.

A 106 ci engine using stock heads and stock valves, will need a .650" cam for the engine to make HP up to 5500 RPM. In other words, the engine will stop making HP at 5500 RPM if you use a .650" lift cam.

If a .590" lift cam is used, the engine will stop making HP at 5000 RPM.

If you increase the intake valve size to 2.08", and use a .600" lift cam, the engine will be capable of producing HP up to 6,000 RPM.

Basically, when you increase cubic inches, you need to increase intake valve size and/or valve lift.

I have a customer that I have built the engines in all of the bikes that he has owned. A couple of weeks ago he purchased a new 2010 SE Street Glide. He rode it from the dealer straight to my shop. He gave me X amount$$$ to do what I want to it. Ill post the results in a couple of weeks.

I did a "before" dyno run this week. This is bone stock SE 110ci.

Notice where the HP peaks
