Default Engine Vibration

I have a 2005 883C. I feel an engine vibration in the handlebars at a particular rpm range in all gears. Problem is vibration occurs in 5th at about 60-65 mph which is where I like to ride. Tired of numb hands. I thought rubber mounts isolate motor. Bike has been modified with 240 rear tire,3" wide front belt pulley, dont know if this is the problem. Vibration is definitely coming from engine rpm. Is this normal ?

DWH, my 06 1200R vibrated at 2800 rpms. I changed exhaust and now it's fine. I also changed my trans pully one tooth to move my "sweet spot" to where I wanted it to be. One our rubber mounts, the front engine mount can get loose. This will cause some wicked vibes. Look and see if you have about 2 threads showing on the bolt past the nut on the right side of your bike where the engine is mounted to the lower frame. It's a big rubber donut. If you do, you should be okay.

so your bike still has a vibration at a particular rpm ? By regearing the bike the motor is smooth at cruising rpm? I considered a different pulley set but I dont want to loose any acceleration performance. I bought the bike used and wonder if the motor/tranny has an internal problem causing an abnormal vibration. My friends tell me that if it dont vibrate,it aint a Harley. Problem is not only my hands going numb, but the handlebar mirrors vibrate out of adjustment. The bike only has 10,000 miles on it. I also am considering adding handlebar riser isolating bushings to see it will help solve the problem.

My bike has no vibration that I don't understand. At 2800 it used to have a different vibration than it has now. Of course it still shakes, just in a more civilized manner. If you change your pulley one tooth, it will move the rpms about 250 either way depending if you go lager or smaller. If you drop a tooth, you will have more pick up, if that's what you want.

Bushing will work to an extent, but always seem to make steering a but mushy feeling. First, get it to a shop so they can check it out. There's a hundred things that could be wrong with it, some of which are stupid littlething, and others, well, start getting expensive. But you're not going to find out exactky what it is reading about it. Ideas can be given, but until someone really looks at it, you're never going to know.
