Question Comfy Seat For Short Sportster Rider

Does anyone have advice for a short, 5' 3" rider of an 2008 XL 1200L regarding a more comfortable seat for longer hauls?

Hey Lil

A more comfotable seat will probably mean a thicker seat. At 5'3" are you OK with that? I prefer a leather seat instead of a naughahyde seat myself. Corbin and Mustang, among many others make good seats but I would recommend trying one out before you buy one. If you go to any of the big V-twin motorcycle shows that come around you'll see hundreds of bikes in the parking lots that you can check out and there might be some seat vendors with displays in the show. You can also get black sheepskin covers ( some with memory foam in them) to fit your existing seat from www.amspecialtiesusa.com. They're nice as long as they don't get wet.

Good Luck

I have been concerned that the overwhelming support for the Sundowner might not be taking into account my friends height. I do not think she truly wants to raise herself above ground any more.
Thanks for the input. I will tell her to look into what the shows are about here.

I went with a "Badlander". It is flatter than stock but there is less padding but enough. The main thing is that it doesn't lock you into one position. It's much easier to move around on now.

I have a 15 inch wide mustang seat that I think is absolutely a comfortable seat. since March 1st I have put on near 8,000 miles and my butt is just fine..
