We get at least a day or two every month to ride during the winter. I use Stabil and that's about it.

John 1:14

It is the duty of nations, as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions, in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to recognize the sublime truth announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the LORD.

Start it occasionally and chnage all fluids before next season.

I see no reason to store your bike for long periods of time unless you will be physically removed from it - Like overseas defending this fine country or injured where you cannot ride.

Use the blasted thing.......Thats what it is for. Those of you that have not ridden when it was below zero......Give it a whirl! Them spells usally just last a week or so. Winter riding.......What can I say.....Instead of sweating your nuggets off you freeze em a bit. Its all good.

Hmmmmm... no thanks. My thin Georgia blood doesn't like temps below 50 degrees. You can keep it.

Rode in the snow one time, never again. Rode when there was salt on the street, never again. Once the salt is down, its over till spring.
Don't start it once in a while. Once you park it, fill the tank with gas and add a little sta-bil and refrain from starting it. Just put it on a battery tender and wait till your ready to take it back out riding again.

You can usually find DampRid at Wallyworld, but you can alway Google it. It's only a few bucks and it does work great. They make a bowl that hold the DampRid and collects the moisture. Then just get the refill carton. It'll last a long time.

Also, if you can't find cylinder fogger, a good idea is pull the plugs and squirt in a little bit of oil or oil treatment (I like Lucas oil treatment) and replace the plugs. Inspect and gap the plugs while their out. Then give the starter button a couple quick clicks to get the pistons moving up and down a bit, but not enough to start it. Keeps things from sticking up over storage.

Where I am we get some weird weather in the middle of winter, we always seem to get a few stretch of warm days or the humidity takes an upward turn in the middle of freezing weather, and even in my garage things will get some "steam" on them.

Dealing with snow and ice while riding a bike is NOT fun! If your "winter" never gets below 45, and you don't get black ice, potholes, whiteouts, and all of winter's other hazards, fine. But for those of us that live where snow makes the national news on a regular basis, riding in winter is a bad, bad, BAD (not to mention freakin' scary) idea!
